JIES News 2014-2015
On February 26th, we had our Japanese Culture Day introducing some of the traditional Japanese stories to students. During the event, all students participated in some activities, such as Onigiri game (a board game), illusion(thaumatrope), Making an Onigiri and card magic with Japanese storytelling.
Later in the afternoon students enjoyed some performances: Japanese Dance (Nihonbuyo) by Japanese Dance ASP students and teachers and Hip Hop Dance by Dance ASP students.
Nihonbuyo teachers performed one of the popular Japanese stories "Kachikachi yama" and students really enjoyed the Usagi and Tanuki dance.
We also sang "Hana wa saku" song for the opening. Students were singing nicely together.
